Royal Host Real Estate Investment Trust is an open-end unincorporated investment trust formed for the purpose of investing in hotel properties. The trust owns a diversified portfolio of hotels in locations across Canada.

Royal Host’s core businesses are hotel ownership and franchising in Canada. The trust owns 31 properties, comprising 3,670 guest rooms, in the mid-market to upscale hospitality segments operating under such brands as Best Western®, Country Inns & Suites®, Hilton®, Holiday Inn®, Ramada®, Super 8®, Thriftlodge® and Travelodge®, as well as a number of unbranded properties, such as the Chimo Hotel in Ottawa and the Yellowknife Inn.

Royal Host owns the master franchise rights for Travelodge and Thriftlodge in Canada of which there are more than 90 franchise locations, including 13 owned by the Trust.
